Many portable and handheld computers do not provide a parallel port. When they do, the built-in port often cannot function in EPP mode.

The Quatech Parallel PCMCIA has a state-of-the-art chipset that allows for compatibility with virtually any parallel device. This high quality parallel control board is made in the USA and includes a five-year warranty (from Quatech).

Quatech's Parallel PCMCIA Card fully supports the IEEE 1284 EPP standard and functions exactly like a computer's native parallel port. Thus, unlike many USB to Parallel converters on the market (which are designed to work only with parallel printers), the Parallel PCMCIA Card will work seamlessly with any hardware or software that requires either an EPP or standard parallel port.
