Cons: None really, except for the fact that my Garmin recognizes it like a computer charge, thus forcing it (Garmin) to show its' display while charging -- I hope a burn-in does not occur. Pros: Playback quality is excellent and music doesn't skip like a that from a CD player during rough driving conditions. Cons: Only plays up to 6 "favorite" categories with in-car controls, and probably albums as well if they are loaded. You have to stop to initiate others manually, one each time, after which it reverts to the original 6. It's awkward, and a hassle, but there is no other solution for connecting an iPod into my 2007 Corvette Z06. Other Comments: Installation in the rear of my car required me to purchase a separate aftermarket extension cable just to get the iPod within reach in normal driving position. Otherwise, I had to get out, pull the seat back forward, and operate the iPod in this awkward position. Now, I have a long cable extending to the front of the console, exposed all the way -- which is tacky. To summarize, the design needs to be developed further and refined. The receiver we have does not have HDMI connection but the rest of our components do (tv, dvd, etc) and this has been a great solution rather than buying a new receiver. I contacted Sewell, and they immediately appologized and would correct their ad and they refunded my money and told me to keep the incorrect chargers. I was willing to mail them back. Very nice. Pros: Allows me to instantly switch between two interfaces used in my home control system (called X10). The requirements of my system required the use of two interfaces which are controlled by my computer's software. The switch has saved the time lag that used to be necessary to manually change the USB cables.
